• Among adults (18 and older): Emergency room visits for mental health issues remain high and increased in May 2022 compared to the same period in previous years.

• For those aged 11 and older: an increase in emergency department visits for suicidal acts and suicidal ideation in May 2022 compared to the same period in previous years.

• Among children (<18 years old): the monthly number of emergency room visits for mental health issues in May 2022 was higher than that observed in previous years during the same period; the overall activity level was similar to that of May 2021.
