Over the past week in the region:

• SOS Médecins continues to report an increase in gastroenteritis cases, with numbers higher than in previous years for this time of year. This increase is not reflected in emergency department visit data for gastroenteritis or in reports of clustered cases of gastroenteritis in nursing homes (2 reports since early September);

• Consultations for nasopharyngitis and asthma attacks among children aged 2 to 14 continue, which is typical for this time of year;

• No increase in other winter illnesses.
