Epidemiological Surveillance in the Pays de la Loire Region. Update as of November 2, 2016.

Over the past week in the region:

The number of visits to SOS Médecins for gastroenteritis remained high last week, most likely due to the circulation of norovirus (affecting children and young adults, with vomiting being the predominant symptom). This increase has been observed in the region for over a month, with numbers exceeding those seen in previous years for this time of year. A slight increase has also been observed over the past two weeks in the pediatric emergency department at Nantes University Hospital among children under the age of 5.
