Over the past week in the region:

  • The bronchiolitis outbreak peaked in week 52, and we have now seen a sharp decline in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations over the past two weeks.

  • The community outbreak of gastroenteritis has begun (based on data from SOS Médecins), and outbreaks of acute respiratory infections have been occurring in nursing homes for the past two weeks.

  • No significant increase in consultations for flu-like illness. However, three severe cases have been reported by intensive care units in the region since mid-December. Six isolates of influenza A virus at the Nantes University Hospital laboratory over the past two weeks.
