Vaccination Campaign in Mayotte. Update as of June 12, 2018.

Highlights

  • Program fully operational since May 27 (up to 8 centers open simultaneously)

  • Between May 22 and June 10, 15,537 children were seen at one of the 20 vaccination centers that opened during this period. Center attendance, halfway through the campaign, is in line with the set attendance targets (between 30,000 and 40,000 children in total)

  • Of the 15,537 children seen at a center, 8,548 were vaccinated, representing 55.7% of those requiring an update to their vaccination status

  • 15,910 vaccines were administered (an average of 2 vaccines per child), distributed as follows (5,912 Infanrix Hexa, 5,433 MMR, 4,565 Prevenar)

  • Attendance at vaccination centers remains high, demonstrating strong family support for the vaccination campaign regardless of the centers’ locations on the island

  • No post-vaccination adverse events subject to pharmacovigilance reporting have been reported to Santé publique France

  • Strong involvement of vaccination and pharmaceutical teams from the health reserve

  • Involvement of local stakeholders who are promoting the campaign in coordination with the ARS
