Epidemiological Situation

The OSCOUR® hospital emergency department surveillance network shows a persistent increase in visits for gastroenteritis since the beginning of August. Over the past two weeks, the number of cases has exceeded the averages typically observed at this time of year. This upward trend is also being observed by sentinel physicians. Furthermore, the rotavirus positivity rate has been rising throughout September, confirming the circulation of this virus in Réunion.
