Measles Surveillance in Réunion. Epidemiological Update as of May 4, 2017.

Epidemiological Situation

Between April 20 and May 3, two confirmed cases and two suspected cases of measles were reported among patients residing in Réunion who had not left the island. Three of these cases were linked to a suspected case imported from Thailand. The origin of the fourth case could not be confirmed. The purpose of this epidemiological update is to urge all healthcare professionals to remain vigilant regarding the risk of a measles outbreak in Réunion.
