Chikungunya
Since the beginning of 2025, more than 20,000 cases of chikungunya have been reported on the island.
The outbreak continues to spread, with 5,832 cases detected in Week 12. The outbreak is widespread and spreading everywhere.
Since week 11, fourteen cases of chikungunya have been reported to us in newborns or infants, some of whom presented with severe clinical symptoms requiring intensive care.
Leptospirosis
27 cases of leptospirosis had been reported since the beginning of 2025. Since then, 6 new mandatory reports have been received by the ARS and are currently being processed. The seasonal resurgence is late this year and of limited scope compared to 2022 and 2024. To date, it is at a level comparable to 2023.
Acute Respiratory Infections
Indicators in primary care and hospitals remain at a low level with no public health impact.
Pertussis
Active circulation in the first quarter of 2025.
