Chikungunya
Circulation of the chikungunya virus remains high in Mayotte despite a slight decrease in the number of cases observed in week S08-2026. The territory has remained in phase 2B of the ORSEC arbovirus plan since week S07, corresponding to the pre-epidemic phase.
Bronchiolitis
Despite a slight decrease in indicators in week S08-2026, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) activity remains at a high level in the territory, with a positivity rate of 46%.
Smallpox B (Mpox)
No new cases of Mpox have been detected in Mayotte since week 08-2026 (February 16–22, 2026). Since the notification of the first case imported from Madagascar on January 8, 2026, a total of 10 cases have been recorded in Mayotte. At this stage, the epidemiological situation is considered to be under control.
