Epidemiological Situation

Four clusters of dengue cases have been identified in Saint Pierre, Saint Gilles les Hauts, Bellemène, and La Possession, indicating the presence of virus transmission chains on the island. A new PCR-confirmed case in Saint-Leu could mark the start of a new transmission chain. Investigations are underway. The epidemiological situation corresponds to Alert Level 2A* of the arbovirus control plan (“Identification of moderate local viral circulation”).
