Dengue Situation in Mayotte. Epidemiological Update as of July 9, 2014.

Analysis of the epidemiological situation

The monitored epidemiological indicators (weekly number of biologically confirmed dengue cases and positivity rate) showed a slight increase in week 27, suggesting that viral circulation persists. This circulation appears to be most active in Mamoudzou and Koungou, and local transmission of the virus continues to be observed in other parts of the island. The decline in indicators observed in June was not confirmed last week; the highest level of vigilance must be maintained to limit the risk of a renewed intensification of circulation.
