Dengue Situation in Mayotte. Epidemiological Update as of July 16, 2014.

Analysis of the epidemiological situation

The monitored epidemiological indicators (weekly number of biologically confirmed dengue cases and positivity rate) have remained generally stable over the past three weeks, suggesting that viral circulation persists. This circulation remains primarily active in Mamoudzou, but local transmission of the virus is still being observed in other parts of the island. Despite the decline in indicators observed in June and July, dengue circulation remains active; the highest level of vigilance must be maintained to limit the risk of a renewed intensification of circulation.
