Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The circulation of the dengue virus is intensifying in Mamoudzou, and three additional foci of local transmission have been identified in scattered areas of the island (Koungou, Tsingoni, and M'tsamoudou). Given the current climatic conditions, which are highly conducive to the vector, the viral circulation is likely to continue intensifying in the coming weeks. The public and healthcare professionals must remain vigilant in order to combat mosquitoes and detect new cases early.
