These trends are consistent with the emergence of the Omicron variant: 27.6% of screened tests showed a compatible mutation profile (corresponding to the absence of the L452R and E484K mutations), while screening indicators showed a decline in the frequency of the Delta variant this week (83% of samples tested for the L452R mutation carried by Delta versus 94% in week 50).
