Public Health Surveillance in Languedoc-Roussillon. Epidemiological Update as of January 23, 2014.

Key Points

  • Gastroenteritis: high activity in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, regardless of the data source considered, and rising activity nationwide;

  • Influenza: a sharp increase in the region, for both emergency room diagnoses and those reported by SOS Médecins associations. Regional outpatient data on influenza-like illnesses (Unified Network) remain, at this stage, below the epidemic threshold;

  • Bronchiolitis: activity is clearly decreasing in the region, as it is in France.
