COVID-19

  • In Occitanie, according to data available as of September 1, 2022, for week 34 of 2022, virological indicators continued to decline at the regional level: a positivity rate of 21.0% (down 2.1 percentage points from week 33), incidence rate of 216 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (-16%), and testing rate of 1,032 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (-7%). Regionally, indicators were declining among those aged 15 and older; however, among those under 15, the positivity rate was increasing (+3.6 percentage points to 22.4%), the incidence rate remained stable, and the testing rate was decreasing.

  • The R value estimated from regional SI-DEP data through August 27, 2022, was 0.90 (0.89–0.92), an increase compared to the previous week.

Monkeypox

  • 293 confirmed cases have been reported in Occitanie by healthcare professionals since May 11, 2022.

  • After a decline since mid-July, the number of new weekly cases appears to be stabilizing.
