Health Monitoring in the Occitanie Region. Update as of November 3, 2022.

Key Points

COVID-19

  • The SIDEP incidence rate for COVID-19 in S43, based on all tests performed, is not available following the suspension of COVID-19 test result reporting by certain private clinical laboratories. Consequently, RT-PCR test results from laboratories participating in this action cannot be included in the analysis, which affects the usual SIDEP virological indicators (particularly incidence and screening rates).

  • Since the trend in TAG tests alone (which account for over 50% of total tests in Occitanie) is highly correlated with the trend in all tests, a downward epidemic trend is observed in Week 43. Thus, while the TAG positivity rate in Occitanie remained stable (28.8%) in Week 43 compared to previous weeks, there was a decrease in incidence and detection rates in Week 43 calculated based on antigen tests (TAG) alone.

Gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea

  • Low activity in private practice (SOS Médecins) and low in hospital settings (Oscour® network).

Bronchiolitis

  • 4th epidemic week.

  • Oscour® network: visits and hospitalizations for a diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were significantly higher compared to the previous week.

  • SOS Médecins: procedures for the diagnosis of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age were decreasing compared to the previous week
