Overall, in week 21 of 2022 in Occitanie, against a general backdrop of continued decline in viral circulation across most departments, a reversal of the trend compared to the previous week was observed in certain areas of the Gers, and to a lesser extent in Haute-Garonne, Lot, and Tarn (a trend to be confirmed in the coming weeks).
Acute Gastroenteritis
Oscour®: Gastroenteritis activity was low in week 21 of 2022. Visits across all age groups for a diagnosis of gastroenteritis were generally stable compared to the previous week. In week 21-2022, 316 visits for gastroenteritis were recorded (including 135 for patients under 5 years of age), representing 1.1% of all visits (337 visits in week 20-2022, including 150 for patients under 5 years of age).
SOS Médecins: Gastroenteritis activity was low in week 21-2022. The number of cases across all age groups diagnosed with gastroenteritis remained stable compared to the previous week. In week 21 of 2022, 117 cases with this diagnosis were recorded, representing 4.4% of the overall activity of the SOS Médecins associations (105 cases in week 20 of 2022).
According to the Sentinelles Network, the incidence rate of acute diarrhea cases seen in general practice was 42 per 100,000 [12; 72], stable compared to the previous week (43 per 100,000).
