Chikungunya, Dengue, and Zika in Occitanie. Bulletin dated June 19, 2025.

Key Points

  • From May 1 to November 30 each year, Santé publique France coordinates, in conjunction with the relevant Regional Health Agencies (ARS), enhanced seasonal surveillance of chikungunya, dengue, and Zika in mainland France.

  • In Occitanie, from May 1 to June 17, 2025, 43 imported cases of dengue and 67 imported cases of chikungunya were identified. One locally acquired case of chikungunya was identified in the Hérault department (Table 1 and box). This is the second locally acquired case in mainland France this season; the first case was confirmed on June 11 in the PACA region, in the Var department (see ARS PACA press release).
