Acute Respiratory Infections
In week 01-2026, indicators for acute respiratory infections (ARI) were at high levels and began to decline, with the exception of hospitalizations, which stabilized (+0.2 points). This decline was observed primarily in the community among those under 15 years of age and in hospitals among those aged 0–64, while indicators for those aged 65 and older continued to rise (in the community and in hospitals).
Bronchiolitis (children under 1 year of age)
The Occitanie region was at S01 in its 6th week of the bronchiolitis epidemic.
While SOS Médecins data remained relatively stable at a high level, all other indicators showed a downward trend in week 1.
Influenza and influenza-like illness
In week 01-2026, the Occitanie region was in its 5th week of the influenza epidemic. Most
were at high levels but were decreasing for the first week, suggesting a transition from an epidemic peak in week 52. Hospitalizations for influenza were stabilizing. This trend will need to be confirmed next week.
COVID-19
In week 01-2026, indicators are stable and at low levels in Occitanie.
