Key Points

Among adults of all ages for mental health issues:
- The monthly number of emergency room visits in May 2022 is higher than in 2021 and higher than the average for the years 2018 to 2020.
- The monthly activity rate in May 2022 is lower than the average for the years 2018 to 2020 and that of May 2021.
- The number of visits is generally higher in January–May 2022 compared to 2021 and the average for the same period in 2018–2020.
For children of all ages with mental health issues:
- The monthly number of emergency department visits in May 2022 is higher than in May 2021 and the average for visits from 2018 to 2020.
- The volume of activity in May 2022 is lower than in May 2021 but higher than the average for the years 2018 to 2020.
- The number of visits is generally higher in January–May 2022 compared to 2021 and the average for the same period in 2018–2020.
Several mental health monitoring indicators from the Oscour® network are on the rise in May 2022: suicide attempts, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, psychotic disorders, and anxiety disorders.

The monthly number of SOS Médecins procedures for anxiety in May 2022 is lower than in May 2021 but higher than the average for the years 2018 to 2020.
The monthly activity rate in May 2022 is lower than the average for the years 2018 to 2020 and lower than that of 2021 for the same period.
The number of medical procedures is generally lower in January–May 2022 compared to 2021 but higher than the average for the same period in 2018–2020.
