Situation in the Basse-Normandie and Haute-Normandie regions

Surveillance of Influenza Deaths and Severe Cases In week 2012-01, one severe case of influenza was reported to the Cire Normandie as part of the surveillance system established through the network of 24 intensive care, critical care, and continuous care units (adult and pediatric) in Lower Normandy and Upper Normandy. No other cases have been reported to Cire since then.

Unified network of sentinel physicians and the GROG in Lower Normandy The increase in the incidence rate observed since week 2012-01 continued into week 2012-06, rising from 97 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in week 2012-05 to 132 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in week 2012-06 (Figure 1). The Grog network reports that the epidemic threshold has been exceeded in Lower Normandy.
