HIV Surveillance and Prevention in Normandy. December 2020.
Key points
HIV/AIDS
Laboratory HIV Testing: In 2019, in Normandy, the rate of positive test results was 1.1 positive HIV serology tests per 1,000 serology tests performed. The rate of serology tests performed per capita was increasing in the region, while the rate of positive test results was decreasing compared to previous years.
HIV DO: Due to disruptions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, consolidated data are not available at the time of publication of this epidemiological report. Therefore, the data presented are raw data, which limits their interpretation. We ask the reader to excuse these difficulties. Nevertheless, the results analyzed below for Normandy in 2019 show characteristics comparable to those of previous years and consistent with national data.
AIDS DO: The data presented in this report for the AIDS DO suffer from the same limitations as those of the HIV DO (consolidated data not available, use of raw data). Final data will be available in several months and will be subject to a new analysis in 2021.
Use of e-DO: Mandatory reporting of HIV infections and AIDS is electronic and must be completed by laboratory technicians and clinicians using the dedicated application (e-DO). In Normandy, nearly all reports are submitted to Santé publique France electronically.
