The flu outbreak is now over in Normandy. Viral circulation is low, and indicators in the community and hospitals have returned to baseline levels.
The outbreak lasted 14 weeks, peaking in late December. Its intensity was high, although it was not among the most intense outbreaks observed in the region since 2019. However, its severity was significant, with a peak in mortality and a high number of influenza-related hospitalizations.
Acute Gastroenteritis
The number of visits to SOS Médecins has been decreasing for the past two weeks, with moderate activity levels. Activity in emergency departments is also decreasing and remains low.
