Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • The bronchiolitis epidemic has stabilized at high levels: the number of emergency room visits and the number of consultations with SOS Médecins for bronchiolitis have plateaued over the past three weeks, while hospitalizations for bronchiolitis following emergency room visits are decreasing. RSV continues to be detected at high levels in laboratories.

Flu

  • The flu epidemic continues to spread in the region. All indicators continue to rise. The peak of the epidemic is expected to occur between Christmas and New Year’s, prompting the implementation of preventive measures to protect at-risk individuals during the holiday season.

  • As of November 30, 2025, in Normandy, among at-risk individuals, 46% of those aged 65 and older have been vaccinated against the flu, while among those under 65, 25% have been vaccinated.

  • The flu vaccination campaign is currently underway. It is always advisable to get vaccinated, especially for those at risk.
