Acute Gastroenteritis

  • The level of activity for acute gastroenteritis is moderate and declining in emergency departments and at SOS Médecins clinics, across all age groups.

Flu

  • Circulation remains high, with a continued decline in most indicators (proportion of SOS Médecins calls and emergency department visits, hospitalizations following emergency department visits).

  • The number of influenza viruses isolated in university hospital virology laboratories is also decreasing after several weeks of stagnation at a high level.

  • Type A virus, particularly the H1N1 subtype, remains the predominant strain among positive hospital samples.

Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia

  • The various indicators for pneumonia are decreasing, whether in community settings (SOS Médecins) or in hospitals (emergency departments), but remain at moderate levels.

  • The positivity rate for Mycoplasma pneumoniae in hospital samples is also declining sharply and is approaching baseline levels.
