Health Monitoring in Normandy. Bulletin of November 28, 2024.

Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • Transition to the pre-epidemic phase since week 45.

  • Hospital indicators continue to rise. SOS Médecins activity has decreased slightly this week but remains at a moderate level. Other indicators (virology and physical therapy) are on the rise. The trend in bronchiolitis is similar to that observed in the year preceding the COVID-19 epidemic (2019–2020). These trends among children under 2 years of age are also observed among those under 1 year of age.

Influenza and influenza-like illness

  • The situation has entered the pre-epidemic phase this week, with a sharp increase in the detection of influenza viruses in hospitals. Other indicators are rising more moderately in community settings (SOS Médecins) and in hospitals (Oscour®).
