Health Monitoring in Normandy. Bulletin of March 12, 2025.
Key Points
Influenza and Flu-Like Illness
Normandy has been in the post-epidemic phase for two weeks. The Oscour® and SOS Médecins activity indicators continue to decline and are approaching pre-epidemic baseline levels across all age groups.
Strains A (H1N1), A (H3N2), and B/Victoria are still circulating simultaneously. Their detection rates are declining in community laboratories and hospitals.
The proportion of deaths with a mention of influenza among electronically certified deaths is also decreasing significantly.
Acute Gastroenteritis
Across all age groups, community activity indicators for acute gastroenteritis (AG) have stabilized at a high level this week. For those aged 65 and older, these indicators are rising sharply.
Hospital activity for acute gastroenteritis is increasing among those under 15 and among people aged 65 and older.
