Influenza and influenza-like illness

  • Normandy has been in an epidemic phase for the fourth consecutive week, with all indicators continuing to rise across all age groups. Their levels are significantly higher than those of the previous season and close to those of 2022/23.

  • People over 65 are the most affected, with a sharp increase in hospitalizations and deaths with an electronic death certificate noting influenza.

  • The influenza viruses detected are mainly type A, subtype H1N1, and to a lesser extent type B.

Acute Gastroenteritis

  • Emergency room visits for acute gastroenteritis among children under 15 have been increasing for the past 5 weeks, but there is no corresponding increase in outpatient care (SOS Médecins) or in other age groups.
