Health Monitoring in Normandy. Bulletin of December 12, 2024.

Key points

Bronchiolitis

  • Normandy has been in an epidemic phase for two weeks. All activity indicators (hospitals, SOS Médecins, virology, and physical therapy) continue to rise. The trend in bronchiolitis cases is similar to that observed in the year preceding the COVID-19 epidemic (2019–2020).

  • These trends, observed in children under 2 years of age, are consistent among those under 1 year of age.

Influenza and influenza-like illness

  • Normandy is entering the epidemic phase this week. Indicators continue to rise in community practice (SOS Médecins) and in hospitals (Oscour®). The number of influenza viruses detected in hospitals and community practice (RELAB network) has been rising sharply over the past three weeks.
