Health Monitoring in Normandy. Bulletin of April 9, 2025.

Key Points

Flu

  • The flu epidemic ended two weeks ago in Normandy. It lasted 18 weeks, peaking in late December in emergency departments and in late January in private practice. The flu epidemic was intense this season, reaching levels close to those of the 2022–2023 epidemic.

  • All Oscour® and SOS Médecins activity indicators have returned to pre-epidemic levels.

  • The mortality rate, with influenza listed among electronically certified deaths, remains stable at a low level.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Activity for acute gastroenteritis in hospital emergency departments is decreasing, particularly among those under 15 years of age and even more markedly among those under 5 years of age. This indicator nevertheless remains at a high level in urban areas.

  • Among those over 15 years of age, the Oscour® activity indicator for acute gastroenteritis remains stable at a level similar to previous years. Activity in urban areas also remains stable at a moderate level.
