Identifying dropouts: a Quebec program tested in France.

The Toolkit for Assessing Potential School Leavers (TEDP) is a tool designed to identify students at risk of dropping out and to provide a methodological foundation for intervention. In France, the Rouen School District has adapted it for use in providing individualized support to at-risk students; ten middle schools are currently participating in the program. The kit serves as a scientific assessment tool for personalized support. The initial results appear encouraging.
