The departmental heat wave plan has been at the seasonal watch level since June 1, 2012. This weekend, the minimum and maximum biometeorological indices (IBM) recorded occasionally approached the departmental alert thresholds. No significant health impacts were reported by the emergency departments participating in the Oscour® network. This episode of intense heat was isolated to the region. The Heat Wave and Health Alert System (SACS), implemented by the Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS) as part of the heat wave plan, does not forecast a new heat wave in the coming days that would warrant the issuance of a health alert.
