Health Surveillance in Picardy. Epidemiological Update, March 13, 2013.

Flu: In mainland France, flu activity continues to decline for the fourth consecutive week, with 353 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to 942 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at the peak of the epidemic in week 2013-06.In Picardy, according to doctors in the unified network, the incidence of flu-like illnesses is declining for the third consecutive week, with 315 cases per 100,000 inhabitants compared to 793 during the peak of the epidemic in week 2013-07. SOS Médecins surveillance indicators are also showing a marked decline, remaining above the regional epidemic threshold for the 13th consecutive week.

Acute gastroenteritis: Nationally, the incidence of acute gastroenteritis cases has been below the epidemic threshold for over a month. Regionally, surveillance indicators for SOS Médecins consultations are steadily declining. The regional epidemic threshold has not been exceeded for a month.
