Health Surveillance in Hauts-de-France. Bulletin of September 25, 2025.
Key Points
COVID-19
Over the past three weeks (Weeks 36–38), indicators of COVID-19-related healthcare utilization have been rising at the regional level. This trend is reflected in increased activity at SOS Médecins and emergency departments and mirrors the resurgence observed during the same period last year, though at levels that remain lower for now.
Between weeks 36 and 37, the SARS-CoV-2 positivity rate for samples collected in community settings and hospitals increased, reaching levels similar to those of the same period last year, reflecting active circulation of the virus in the population (data not available for week 38).
In long-term care facilities, no increase in reports of clusters of COVID-19 cases has been observed in recent weeks.
Asthma linked to the start of the school year
In weeks 37 and 38 in the Hauts-de-France region, an increase in asthma-related medical care and hospitalizations following visits to the emergency room for asthma was observed, primarily among children under 15 years of age.
