Key Points

  • In 2016, vaccination coverage against DTP, pertussis, and Haemophilus influenzae type b in the departments of Aisne, Oise, and Pas-de-Calais was comparable to the national rate of 95%.

  • Vaccination coverage against hepatitis B and pneumococcal disease among two-year-olds in the departments of Aisne, Oise, and Pas-de-Calais is progressing slowly and remains below 95%.

  • Vaccination coverage for two doses of the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine among 24-month-old children, at around 80% in the departments for which data are available, is insufficient to prevent any risk of an epidemic.

  • In 2017, in the Hauts-de-France region, 60% of adolescents were not protected against invasive meningococcal C infection. Regardless of age group, among those aged 2–19, vaccination coverage is insufficient to guarantee herd immunity.
