Estimated Number of Confirmed COVID-19 Cases
To date, 6,868 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the Hauts-de-France region. This number is estimated based on three data sources: individual data collected through March 25, the number of confirmed cases hospitalized, and the number of cases confirmed by private laboratories.
Community Surveillance
Sentinelles Network: downward trend with 306 (tele)consultations for acute respiratory infections (ARI) per 100,000 inhabitants in week 2020-14 (374 in week 2020-13)
SOS Médecins: downward trend with 1,720 COVID-19-related consultations per 10,000 medical procedures in week 2020-14 (2,027 in week 2020-13)
LABM (3 labs): downward trend with 31.7% positive tests in week 2020-14 (35.3% in week 2020-13)
Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes
2,241 cases, including 226 deaths reported as of April 7, 2020
Hospital surveillance
Oscour® Network: stable at a high level with 1,622 visits for suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 visits in week 2020-14 (1,688 in week 2020-13)
Hospital laboratories: downward trend with 30.6% of tests positive in week 2020-14 (37.1% in week 2020-13)
Sentinel intensive care units: 51.9% of cases aged 65 and older, and 83.4% of cases with at least one risk factor
Mortality surveillance
High excess mortality in the Oise department through week 2020-13
Moderate excess mortality in the Nord, Somme, and Aisne departments through week 2020-13
No excess mortality detected for the Pas-de-Calais department
