COVID-19

  • In Week 6, virological indicators showed low circulation of COVID-19 in French Guiana. Incidence and positivity rates decreased by 33% and 0.7 percentage points, respectively, amid a decline in testing activity.

  • In hospitals, the situation remained stable with no new hospitalizations across all departments, compared to 2 hospitalizations last week and no admissions to the ICU. No deaths were reported in Week 6.

Influenza

  • Influenza viruses are circulating at high levels in Week 6, although a downward trend has been observed for two consecutive weeks. Viruses A and B are co-circulating. The region has been experiencing an influenza epidemic since late 2022.

Bronchiolitis

  • The epidemiological situation is calm.
