Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The seasonal flu epidemic began in early March in French Guiana. The entire territory is affected. Influenza B is the predominant circulating virus, and Influenza A/H1N1pdm09 and A/H3N2 viruses have also been identified. Hospital activity related to this flu outbreak is increasing at the Kourou Hospital and remains low at the Cayenne Hospital.
