Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The epidemiological situation regarding Zika in Martinique corresponds to Level 2 of the Arbovirus Response Plan (Psage): early stages of local transmission. The known areas most affected are central Martinique (the Foyalais metropolitan area and the corresponding Atlantic coast), the North Caribbean region, and certain municipalities in the south.

The epidemiological situation regarding Zika in French Guiana corresponds to Level 2 of the Arbovirus Response Plan (Psage): early indigenous transmission of the virus. The known affected areas are the island of Cayenne and western French Guiana.

The epidemiological situation regarding Zika in Guadeloupe and in the communities of Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy corresponds to Level 1c of the Arbovirus Psage: no confirmed local viral circulation, with viral circulation in Martinique and French Guiana.
