Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

From November through mid-December, the circulation of the dengue virus in Kourou continued, with new outbreaks (dengue serotype 2).
The epidemiological situation in this area corresponds to Phase 2 of the dengue Psage*: Outbreaks.

Several outbreaks have also been identified in Maripasoula in recent weeks (dengue serotype 1). The situation will be assessed in the coming days by the Committee on Infectious and Emerging Diseases to consider a change in phase.
In the rest of the territory, the situation has remained calm and still corresponds to Phase 1 of the Psage* dengue: Sporadic cases.
