Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

Chikungunya virus activity remains at low levels across all non-epidemic sectors. No new chikungunya outbreaks have been reported since early October.

In the Kourou sector, chikungunya virus activity remains at a moderate level but higher than that observed at the start of the epidemic. This area therefore remains in an epidemic phase. At the Kourou Medical-Surgical Center, activity related to chikungunya consultations is currently low.
