  • Unusual weather conditions, with two heat waves in June and July and a heat wave that occurred after August 15, 2016,

  • An increase in activity at hospital emergency departments and SOS Médecins associations during the heatwave, as well as during the two heat waves,

  • An excess number of deaths during the second heat wave, which nevertheless remained moderate in terms of duration and scale.
