Flu

• OSCOUR®: The number of emergency room visits for flu-like symptoms, across all age groups, is on the rise in week 48 of 2023 compared to the previous week. The proportion of cases is 0.4% and is at a level similar to that observed last year during the same period.

• SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for flu-like illness, all ages, is increasing in week 48-2023. The flu activity rate is 6.6% and is at the same level as that observed during the same period last year.

Bronchiolitis

• OSCOUR®: In week 48 of 2023, the proportion of emergency department visits related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age continues to rise. It stands at 24.5%, representing 518 visits. The proportion of hospitalizations for bronchiolitis among all hospitalizations following a visit to the emergency department is 45.2%, compared to 37.0% in week 47 of 2023.

• SOS Médecins: In week 48 of 2023, the proportion of cases related to bronchiolitis among SOS Médecins cases continues to rise. It stands at 12.8%, representing 79 consultations.

COVID-19

• OSCOUR®: In week 48 of 2023, the number of emergency department visits for COVID-19 increased compared to the previous week (420 visits versus 340 in week 47 of 2023), representing 1.7% of total activity.

• SOS Médecins: In week 48-2023, the number of SOS Médecins consultations for COVID-19 remained generally stable compared to previous weeks (206 consultations compared to 188 in week 47-2023 and 193 in week 46-2023), representing 2.7% of the activity of SOS Médecins associations in the region.

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

• From May 1 to November 30, 2023, 106 cases of dengue and 1 case of chikungunya were confirmed in the Grand Est region. All of these were imported cases. The 2023 enhanced surveillance period has now ended.
