In the Grand Est region, the number of new Covid-19 cases is on the rise again in week 51 of 2021 (29,745 compared to 25,786 in week 50 of 2021). The incidence rate has thus risen to 539.7 new cases per 100,000 residents, well above the maximum alert threshold (set at 250 per 100,000 residents), as has the positivity rate (7.1% compared to 6.2% in week 50 of 2021). The number of people tested, meanwhile, remains stable (421,525 compared to 418,774 in week 50 of 2021).
