Health Surveillance in the Alsace Region. Epidemiological Update as of July 4, 2012
Key Findings
An increase in the number of allergy diagnoses was observed in week 26 by the SOS Médecins association in Strasbourg. This trend is not evident for the association in Mulhouse.
According to the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA), grass pollen levels in Strasbourg remain steady, with allergy risk at a moderate level.
In week 26, an increase in the number of heatstroke diagnoses was observed for both associations in Alsace. On June 29 and 30, nighttime temperatures were close to 19°C, and daytime temperatures exceeded 30°C in both departments.
