Health Monitoring of Heat Waves in the Île-de-France Region. 2015 Report.

Summary

Based on observed temperatures, the Île-de-France region experienced a heat wave from July 1 to 5 (week 27). During this period, there was an increase in emergency care requests (hospital emergency departments and SOS Médecins) for heat-related conditions.In week 27 (June 29 to July 5), the number of deaths observed in the region was significantly higher than expected. The estimated excess mortality for all ages in the region during week 27 is approximately 298 deaths.
