In the Grand Est region, the number of new COVID-19 cases rose slightly in week 41 of 2021 (1,953 compared to 1,790 in week 40 of 2021), while the number of people tested continues to decline (226,414 in week 41 of 2021 compared to 250,539 in week 40 of 2021). The incidence rate has risen slightly to 35.4 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, but remains below the threshold for active virus circulation (set at 50 per 100,000 inhabitants). The positivity rate, meanwhile, is on the rise (0.9% compared to 0.7% in week 40 of 2021).
