Flu
OSCOUR®: The number of emergency department visits for flu-like illness, across all age groups, rose slightly in week 47 of 2023 compared to the previous week. The proportion of cases remains low and at levels similar to those observed last year.
SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for flu-like illness, across all age groups, is slightly down in week 47-2023. The flu activity rate is 4.8% and remains higher than the activity rates observed during the same period in the two previous years.
Bronchiolitis
OSCOUR®: In week 47-2023, the proportion of cases related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age in emergency departments continues to rise. It stands at 19.7%, representing 408 visits. The proportion of hospitalizations for bronchiolitis among all hospitalizations following a visit to the emergency department is 37.2%, compared to 30.1% in week 46 of 2023.
SOS Médecins: In week 47 of 2023, the proportion of cases related to bronchiolitis handled by SOS Médecins remains high. It stands at 10.9%, representing 72 consultations.
COVID-19
OSCOUR®: In week 47-2023, the number of emergency room visits for COVID-19 rose slightly compared to the previous week (339 visits versus 300 in week 46-2023), representing 1.4% of total activity.
SOS Médecins: In week 47-2023, the number of SOS Médecins consultations for COVID-19 remained generally stable compared to previous weeks (187 consultations versus 193 in week 46-2023), representing 2.4% of the activity of SOS Médecins associations in the region.
