Key Points

Flu

  • OSCOUR®: The number of emergency department visits for flu-like symptoms, across all age groups, has decreased slightly but remains at a high level in week 06-2024 compared to the previous week (800 visits versus 856 in week 05-2024); this represents 3% of total activity.

  • SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for flu-like symptoms, across all age groups, has decreased slightly but remains at a high level in week 06-2024 (1,124 consultations compared to 1,228 in week 05-2024); the share of flu-related activity is 14%.

Bronchiolitis

  • OSCOUR®: In week 06-2024, the proportion of cases related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age in emergency departments remained stable (6.9%), as did the number of visits (107 visits). The proportion of hospitalizations for bronchiolitis among all hospitalizations following a visit to the emergency department for children under 2 years of age is 13.6%.

  • SOS Médecins: In week 06-2024, the proportion of SOS Médecins’ activity related to bronchiolitis is decreasing. It stands at 5.3%, and the number of consultations is stable (19 consultations).

COVID-19

  • OSCOUR®: In week 06-2024, the number of emergency department visits for COVID-19 continued to decline (64 visits compared to 76 in week 05-2024), representing 0.2% of activity.

  • SOS Médecins: In week 06-2024, the number of SOS Médecins consultations for COVID-19 decreased compared to the previous week (22 consultations versus 41 in week 05-2024), representing 0.3% of activity for SOS Médecins associations in the region.

Acute Gastroenteritis

  • OSCOUR®: The number of emergency department visits for gastroenteritis, across all age groups, remained stable in week 06-2024 compared to previous weeks. The share of activity was 1.3%, representing 354 visits.

  • SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for gastroenteritis decreased slightly in week 06-2024 (584 consultations), as did the share of activity for this condition (7.3%).
